The Chase: sometime in spring 2020

Sorry for the radio silence. 2024 was all a bit meh! I didn't do any blogging. I didn't do much of anything if truth be told. 2025 is going to be a shedload (it's an official unit of measurement, you know) better 🙏

So ..... The Chase. Back in 2020, when things were really miserable and we weren't allowed out, my little sis used to keep the family spirits up by sending a weekly quiz to the folks; that's Mum and Dad. And me. We love a quiz in our family. The quiz was emailed over and we trusted each other not to Google (not sure that the old' uns can Google that well to be honest). Sis marked the quiz and gave out the scores. The quiz was invariably won by Mum and Dad. Well, they are older and thus have more knowledge. And there's two of them 🙂

My one notable success was when I tied with Mum and Dad and then won the tiebreaker, which involved stating the length of the Titanic. It was big, I knew that much. My guess was nearer and ..... I won one. YAAAY 😍 The questions that sis used in the quiz were really good and I asked her where she got them. "Oh", she says; I watch episodes of The Chase and use the questions from there".

Well here's an admission: Bradley Walsh is my celebrity crush 😮 "Right" I said; "I'm going to apply for The Chase". "Go on then", chorused everyone. So, I did.
